This was a great movie for the entire family. It had lessons in character building, friendship-making and loyalty, as well as dealing with reality issues of life that were resolved in a movie-like but hopeful way. It's a feel-good movie that gave my family great discussion time afterwards. It was well worth the money and the time we spent together laughing in the theater.

It isn't that there weren't funny bits to this, but we were a mixed group (age 5, 8, 24, and 60), and all of us got bored somewhere about 2/3rds through it. The five year old had to be convinced to stick it out to the happy ending.

By the time we go to the movie theater UA , Center Parka Way, Sacramento, CA, the movie had been cancelled; without notification. The theater staff made no apologies and were very inpatient with the frustrated parents and kids who had driven to watch the movie.

We were looking forward to the movie as we recalled the absolute magic of Monsters Inc. As with many sequels, e.g. Men in Black franchise, the surprise and novelty of the first cannot be recaptured in the subsequent films. Glad we went to see the prequel to the friendship between Sully and Mike.
