It isn't that there weren't funny bits to this, but we were a mixed group (age 5, 8, 24, and 60), and all of us got bored somewhere about 2/3rds through it. The five year old had to be convinced to stick it out to the happy ending.

We loved Monster Inc, its always been a favorite, so we have been looking forward to this one for a long time! Im happy to say that it didnt disappoint! My kids were preschool aged when the first one came out and now they are 8 and 10 which is great because i did feel that some of the content was better for older kids this time, and it made more sense. Sort of like Toy sStory"s progression up to part three. This one actually does have content that I feel would be scary to kids under 5. In fact, the family that sat behind us had a little girl who appeared to be around 3, and toward the end she was begging her family to take her home. So, GO SEE IT!!!! But consider it more carefully if your kids are younger or sensitive. LOVED IT!!!!!

By the time we go to the movie theater UA , Center Parka Way, Sacramento, CA, the movie had been cancelled; without notification. The theater staff made no apologies and were very inpatient with the frustrated parents and kids who had driven to watch the movie.

I am a huge fan of Monsters Inc. and was doubtful that Monters University would even come close to be as entertaining as the first. It delivered though. A great job by the team at Pixar creating yet another fun-filled, heart-felt, root-for-the-underdog movie. A must go, especially if you have kids!

It's crazy to think I was only 11 years old (I'm 23 now) when the first film Monsters Inc came out, & it was because of this that I decided I just had to see the prequel of one of my favorite movies as a youth. And I'm glad I did because it was definitely a fun film & had a lot of laugh out loud moments & I'm guessing I wasn't the only one who thought this because most of the theater laughed & it was a late show so it was only adults at the time so that has to count for something. I will say this though, it might be a bit long for younger children who tend to get restless easily & it has a lot of college humor so it may come off confusing to some children as well. Still very entertaining so if you liked the original then you need to come see this
