Screenwriter and producer Monja Danischewsky may best be remembered for adapting Eric Ambler's The Light of Day into one of the finest crime caper movies in cinema, Topkapi (1964). Born in Russia, but raised in Great Britain from the age of eight, Danischewsky started out as a publicity director at Ealing Studios in 1938.
