    Great Romantic Comedy

    Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day was a wonderfully fun movie. If you are looking for a good movie to go to with some girlfriends, this is the movie. It's light and has a happy ending. The sets are beautiful. (I WANT that flat.) The men and women are beautiful. The music and costumes are beautiful. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to watching it again.

    It's OK

    The movie was not what I expected from the previews. All the
    good parts were in the preview. It was rather slow at times.
    It was hard to hear what they were saying at times. I wish I
    would have waited till it came out on DVD.

    Charming chick flick

    This a very sweet, highly improbable film that will appeal to anyone who still gets a bit wistful when they see Cinderella (even though they would NEVER admit it!) I enjoyed ever minute of the film and left with a smile on my face. A great antidote for a downer day.

    Quite Lovely

    This movie was a surprise...not at all what I was expecting. While the story was for the most part formulaic, it nonetheless was not boring. Indeed, parts of it were completely touching and funny and you should find yourself holding back the impulse to "cheer" at the end. Great movie for older married couples!

    Terrible Script

    Too bad such great actors and excellent set/art/costume design were wasted on such a terrible script and such mediocre directing.

    Loved It

    I took my mom to see this movie for her birthday and we both loved it. Very satisfying if you like period pieces and romantic comedies.

    Excellent Entertainment!

    This movie reminds us how entertaining and pleasurable a movie can be without extremes of sensational material. Yes, we do have a very pretty girl to watch, but no, there is nothing there which my daughter couldn't see. We learn a little history in the process, and -- most of all -- we have a lovely 90 minutes where we are absorbed, engaged, and entertained. Hard to beat!

    Cute, funny, and all around fun

    It was really funny. I liked the story line a lot. It was VERY predictable, but it was one of those predictables where if it didn't turn out how you thought it would, you'd be really upset. I loved the costumes too.
