    disturbing unimpressive

I'll make a point to say this... i like real horror movies like 70's and 80s horror, you know the ones that made you have nightmares! these new ones rely soley on CGI and anyone with eyes can tell whats fake. the only scene in the entire movie that was scary was whene the girl rips her own jaw off. the rest of it was too obvious even when they were trying to build suspense i knew what was gonna happen. also it seems that they wanted to add shock value by having them be a mixed race family? at least in lake view terrace there was a meaningful plot behind that. in this one it played no purpose at all ( and im not being raciest but i wasnt feeling their connection was realistic thats all)this movie was boring
C- at least the acting was ok

    okay

This movie had a descent story line and was ok but it just got dull in some moments. When it was good it was really good though. Loved the graphics and sound effects!!!!

    Original buzz:

    Better than i expected

Really good, had some good parts. Really strange in some parts. dont see it expecting a great film. Also not for kids, some disturbing images.

    Eh.

Okay, I mean I enjoy scary movies, but this one was rediculous. This one, as I had previously thought, was less scary and slightly more graphic. The best part was when the nun was re-possesed (?) and crawing on the ceiling of the basement-ish place. It was eerily reminiscent of the scene in Resident Evil: Apocalypse where the mutated things were in the church.
Anyway, I liked it kind of. Except for the ending which was rather odd. I'm not entirely sure of what happened to him, but my guess is he died in the collaspe and his soul entered the mirror world-thing. It wasn't worth the R-rating. If I were to rate it, I'd say PG-13. But I'm also okay with blood and such. The casting was very good, despite the fact that Sutherland's character's daughter was nerve-grating. The little boy, whatever his name is, is a very good actor, and I would like to applaud his skill of playing both himself and his "mirror image". I rank him with Abigail Breslin in good-child-actor-level.

    Depends on what you like

Ok so I must say that yes I am a big ***** when it comes to seeing crtain kinds of movies. I actually saw this movie twice while it was in theatres. First time I with 5 of my friends and I think my screaming scared them more than the movie lol I had my eyes covered for most of the parts that I thought would be scarey and definitly had my vioce worked out my the end by my screams.

The second time I screamed more because I actually watched the movie. It definitly had lots of parts where it went silent and the suspense built to where you knew something was gonna pop up but you didn't know exactly when or what. Also this movie was sort of a mystery. I didn't know this movie was goin to be based on someones personality disorder but found out with some research that it was based on someone's trials on patients

Also the ending was really a mistery I didn't nderstand it. I know what happens but I don't know why or how? so if you catch onto that! Then I think you will be ok.
