91 out of 100 An epic masterpiece from award-winning director Clint Eastwood that works on both sides of the camera. He fuses the story as a chick flick but turns out to be the most powerful, Oscar winning boxing drama of the decade. Let's clap for greatness.

I knew going in that this movie was supposed to be heavy, but I did not realize just how heavy it was until I actually saw it. It was like I was hit by a truck! The entire next day, I walked around depressed! I kept asking people at work if they had seen it, because I had to keep talking about it, that's how powerful it was. In fact, I would say it was one of the best movies I have ever seen--no matter how heavy it was.
Hilary Swank gave a performance for the ages--she was well-deserving of her Oscar. Morgan Freeman was also great and worthy of his Oscar. Clint Eastwood may have only won the Oscar for directing the film, but he was incredible as both a director AND an actor--and his music was great, as always, too.
If you have not seen this, yet, put it at the top of your list of movies to rent. I would not recommend watching it when you are depressed, but otherwise, it will blow you away. It is a must see!
