    Earth

    This movie was one of the greats. We laughed and we cried. I you have a chance take your kids or you brothers and sisters kids.

    Superb Movie!!!

    Great actors make great movies and this movie will move you! 1 of the best movies i've seen in a long time and Sean Penn is superb! This movie will give you an insight into the life of a man who did'nt let the prejudice, bias and ignorance of individuals stop him from achieving his goals. He opened a lot of doors for the gay community and I highly recommend everyone to see this movie! Thumbs up!!!

    A film with character

    Character that went a long way. Watching this decadent film with a tear in my eye, I thought of older times, times that showed a different time, a time of changing time. Having said that, I beleive that Penn did an exceptional job as the man who had a dream, a dream that he could be super gay, and not have a care in the world. This film forced me to take a long gander at my life thus far, I thought, there are people out there who care, who care for freedom, and fight to free those who are free to freedom.. This made me think, why did Sean Penn play a gay man? He is not gay! I didn't know Penn was so misleading as an actor... or actress? Pfff :) Anyway, the film was one of sadness and leisure, with a misleading leading man. Actually it was terrible.

    Disappointing

    I was looking forward to this movie and thought the combination of the storyline and Penn would be exceptional. However, apart from the last scenes including the horror and banality of the shooting and the moving response of the San Francisco public this movie was largely flat and uninspiring. Whether it was Penn or the script I don't know but I never identified or felt engaged by the main character.
