If you are a Metallica fan or a fan of their music, this is a must. I've seen their live shows 50+ times, never seen anything like this.

It is a music movie. There is not much talking during the movie. It has a band playing music at a concert. If you enjoy heavy metal music, I think you should go see it. I don't know much about heavy metal music and I enjoyed it. I saw it in an IMAX theater and the visual effects looked good. Also, it is loud but fun. I read another review where someone said that the bass in the movie shook the seats. I did not notice the seats shaking in the theater that I went to but at some point I felt the floor vibrate a little. People that worked in the movie said they wanted to go see it because they kept hearing all of this fun stuff coming from the theater.

Through the Never was awesome!!!

Awesomeness, all around. Don't worry, there's nothing off of St. Anger. Most, if not all, of their huge hits were on this from the first few albums. Ride the Lightning, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fade to Black, Enter Sandman, Fuel, ...Justice for All.. etc! The props are amazing, the music/sound quality is great. It wasn't a disappointment. The only disappointment was that Gravity was released the same weekend and thus the Imax screenings were given to them. Go see it!! Don't listen to opinions of those who haven't seen it, and just don't like it because it's Metallica. You'll love it.

Metallica Through the Never

You have to be a true Metallica Fan to see this movie. It is just like going to their concert so make sure you go to a theater with a good sound system. The story is crap. But the concert as usual is always great from Metallica. The 3D experience is not what it is cracked up to be in this movie. There are too many times when you have to refocus your eyes through the glasses. But I would go see it again in 2D just because I am a Metallica fan.

Love the music , it's 3-D people so you gotta have some car crashes and stuff outside the concert arena to use special effects!
