We've been waiting SO LONG for this movie to come out. They've been promoting it forever and there hasn't been a good kids movie since summer. But this one we won't be seeing again. It is geared towards older kids, maybe 10+, with long-ish dialogue and a semi-complicated plot. My child is almost 6 and she was bored stiff. There were a few funny parts and if she was older we would have enjoyed it more, but she kept having to ask me what was going on and that kind of ruined it for me. The KICKER however, is when the villain (not Megamind) tells the entire audience there is no tooth fairy or easter bunny!! My daughter took her glasses off and tears welled up in her eyes and we had to have a discussion in the middle of the movie about how he was just trying to be a meanie. But the seed was planted and she talked about it the whole way home. Not the movie, just about there not being a tooth fairy or an easter bunny. She hasn't even lost one tooth yet! Shame on you for ruining the magic, DW.

I went with my 8 year old son & some other family to see this and we ALL enjoyed it. I don't think the 3d was really worth it- I don't know why but that seems to be the trend these days. The story was very cute and creative though and definitely a great evening spent @ the theater.

I have seen this movie in 3D 2 times. Once alone and the other with my daughter, son-in-law and the 3 grand kids. This movie did have a very good story line which makes one forget about the 3D affects. Good humer through-out the movie with mild tense moments. The ending had a slight twist that was a surprise to all that watched it. The only negative comment that could be made and my son-in-law agreed, was that the movie could have been approximately 5 minutes shorter. This was felt due to a slowness in the story line when the girl and new villian relationship/conlfict was presented. A good feature of the movie in 3D was the glasses, which were made of a thicker plastic that was 100% more comfortable than the old style paper or thin plastic glasses. Hopefully this is what awaits for future 3D movies. I would rate this movie for children 8 and above,(tense conflicts), and for adults due to the humor.
