    'Max Payne' is a bloody good time! 3 out of 4 stars

    'Max Payne' is an action packed thrill ride mystery from beginning to end. 'Max Payne' is about a detective named Max Payne who's wife and child are murdered. It's been years and still nothing no one has been found as the killer until now. When Max Payne is framed for the murder of a woman and his former detective partner everything starts to fit in. Something fits together with the murder of Payne's wife and the woman. he must figure out who killed his family and why. This is a great action-revenge film. Mark Wahlberg is exceptionally good as Max Payne. This film is loaded with action and a dark stylish look. To me its a must see film.

    Wahlberg missed on this one

    Being somewhat a fan of his work, Wahlberg was not done justice with this movie. The main problem is the movie is just too much for some people and not enough for others. The plot is not all there and there surely could have been more character development. Watch it if its on TV, otherwise don't search for it.

    So, there were a lot of disappointed fans of the game. Which I don't blame them, there were a few changes to the story, but they were for the best. Compared to other "video game to movie" movies this one is actually pretty good.
    Special effects: Great, everything from the lighting to the detail. One of the cool scenes was a transition from raining snow to raining fire embers.
    Casting: Could have been better, but not terrible. Mark Walberg didn't really fit the Max Payne role too well.
    Story: Yes there were a lot of changes, I have played the games, I know, but honestly for a movie it was a good change. People who have never played the games can watch this and not be lost. As for the hardcore fans, it's still a good movie, just a little less enjoyable.
    Overall it was interesting, go rent it.

    Waste of time.

    Even on a boring, rainy day-with nothing to do but cuddle up infront of the ol'tele---DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS AWEFUL MOVIE!! I sat through the enitire piece of xxxx--Hoping that the movie would get 'ok'. lol....It wasn't even OKAY. It was horrible.
    From the horrible story line down to the horrible acting.
    Plain out-crappy movie.
    I would rather watch info-merchials..than watch this movie again!!!!
