I went to watch this movie after reading critics reviews. Boy, what were they thinking!
Got to be one of the worst. The story telling is pathetic. It seems the director composed a couple of catchy tunes and tried a make a movie out of it. The conception of characters is deeply flawed. No amount of Pankaj Kapor's good acting can offset this ridiculous, senseless movie. And Anushka, got to be the worst. Wasted money and time.

I read the reviews on IBNLIVE and was expecting it to be mouth paining comedy but it was different. The acting is great, songs are good and they have captured the land scam issues and the nexus between politicians and businessman very efficiently. Due to the reviews I read I came out of movie not as thrilled as i was expecting but from last 2 days I have been laughing time and again remembering the dialogues and humming the songs. I think it iis a must go.

The movie has pankaj kapoor written all over it. The first half is a breezer with pankaj kapoor s heroics. Loved all the scenes between matru and mandola when mandola is drunk. The humor is dark at times and is dependent on your ability to pick up the haryanvi accent. Although the film has received mixed reviews, it entertained me thoroughly.

I liked everything in this movie except for the animal abuse part of it. Movie is a drag for first 45mins but it gets better till the end :)

Bollywood has cornered the Asian film market and the message so blatantly visited upon the Western audience with detritus such as “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola” is how unnecessary, meaningless is our attendance. In fairness, the theatre was stocked with a myriad of young Indians, searching for a taste of Eastern fare, silliness, an escape from ubiquitous violence and an “R” rating...
