    Great film

    This is one of the best films I've seen in a long time. I wasn't expecting much. I was concerned it was going to be too sappy and cute but it was brilliantly put together. The character development was incredible, you really knew this kid and fully believed him. He was a great little actor and so was Cusack. From start to finish, this was just a really well done film.

    cute story

    Charming

    As always, John Cusack is completely likable. This movie benefits from that fact. It would have been passable as a concept, but Cusack just makes you really care.

    There are a number of fairly predictable turns in the storytelling, but it is so touchingly told that you can forgive them a little predictability.

    Awesome, touching movie...

    ...John Cusack's uniqueness shines again in this movie so touching and full of hidden messages to our souls.
    Who, at one point in their life, hasn't felt like the martian child?

    I was dying to see this in the theaters

    And it disappeared! Does anyone know if it is showing anywhere in a 300 mile radius of New York City? Crushed the studio didn't promote it better, sadly, sighs...

    Martian Child was absolutely wonderful

    It was a breath of fresh air to be able to go see a movie with superb acting, a new story line, and a warm-fuzzy feeling to go home with. It is on my list to buy when it comes out on DVD. I will probably want to watch it over and over again just to get that wonderful feeling I got from knowing that there are still good people in the world who care about others' feelings and not just what's in it for them.

    So SWEET

    Very Unexpectedly GREAT!

    My boyfriend and I loved this movie. If you love well made movies you should see this one. I knew my parents would enjoy it too, so I told them about it and how they should go see it, BUT!!!, it's doesn't seem to be playing anywhere. Not at the movies, not at the dollar movies, and not yet out to rent!!!! I guess they should have done more advertising for this movie, because it really is a great movie. So I guess when it comes out to rent, Please Check It Out!!! Take Care and Enjoy your movies...
