This is one of the best films I've seen in a long time. I wasn't expecting much. I was concerned it was going to be too sappy and cute but it was brilliantly put together. The character development was incredible, you really knew this kid and fully believed him. He was a great little actor and so was Cusack. From start to finish, this was just a really well done film.
I thought it was very cute and entertaining but I was glad I waited for video & didn't spend more on it at a theater
As always, John Cusack is completely likable. This movie benefits from that fact. It would have been passable as a concept, but Cusack just makes you really care.There are a number of fairly predictable turns in the storytelling, but it is so touchingly told that you can forgive them a little predictability.
