Do not waste your time
I'm generally a fairly easy judge of movies. If I'm entertained, I'll at least tell people it's worth seeing. But this movie was awful. My suggestion to everyone: Don't Waste your Time! There could have been so much more done with this movie, with this bit in history. Except for the costumes (which I'll admit were beautiful), this has to be one of my least favorite movies of all time.

Worst movie ever made.
I wasnt looking for a documentary on Marie, but a little historical accuracy would have been nice. The movie told little about the life of the queen. I waited hours and didnt even see Marie and Louie get their heads cut off. That would have at least been a high point in the movie...
Avoid this unless you have money and time you just feel the need to waste.

History with a twist!
Although not a great movie for historical refrences, it is an inteteresting way to depict the life of one of, if not the most famous queens in history. It's an interesting blend of history, florid costumes, and both classical and indie rock music. Two thumbs up!

Marie Antoinette
I think this movie was very good in appealing to the teen crowd , but not so much as to the adult crowd , who I think were expecting a documentary type movie ... me and my friends all enjoyed it very much , but I think there could have been a little more explanation (eg. Marie Antoinette's life before she moved to France) and a different ending explaining how she died (but I suppose that would be considered in bad taste) ... overall I think the actors and actresses were very convincing and had a very good understanding of their characters , I also like how the directors portrayed Marie Antoinette as a naive person who had no idea of the sufferings in France at the time compared to how some people portrayed her as a conceided , greedy person.

long live Marie!
A lend of classical history, and modren-day flash,Marie Antoinette I think has become a classic. The luminous Kirsten Dunst is sensatonal as Marie.I loved the rock music, especially The Strokes, and all the other modern-day tweaks that Ms.Coppola so beautifully added to an otherwise "I've seen this before" subject.Yes you probably have seen things on Marie Antoinette,or at least heard of her,but you've never seen this one-of-a-kind rendition before.Ms.Coppola's version of Marie Antoinette is an absolute yes on all levels.
