Biography

Spanish filmmaker Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón learned his craft at the Escuela Oficial de Cinematografía. After graduating in 1970, he made Habla, Mudita/Speak, Little Mute (1973), which won awards at the Berlin Film Festival as did his sophomore film Camada Negra/Black Litter (1977).
