Good concept and workman like delivery. It straddles a line between black comedy and parody. It doesn't hit the high notes like "Shaun of the Dead" did for Zombie movies. But it is funny and has very good moments.

Great movie. Very funny So much fun to see Michelle in this kind of role. Don't go if the "f" word bothers you, because they say it a lot.

i liked the movie though i think its a slow movie that tries to throw comedy into a mob movie and fails mostly at getting some one to laugh i liked it but the movie to to long to get going

Because of the plot, I couldn't help thinking about My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin, which was so funny and so good. Perhaps that's why I was disappointed in The Family. It was ok, DeNiro is always good. Michelle Pfeiffer looked old and tired. There were some entertaining moments...for instance, I Loved the scene where the daughter took a tennis racket to a smart-aleck and the way DeNiro solved his plumbing problem!

This movie was nothing ground breaking, not that one should expect it to be. It was rather long for the content and dragged on for quite awhile. There were a lot of plot points that could have been followed up with, but were just barely touched on and left a lot to be desired. It plodded along through it's expected course to it's utterly predictable ending. Don't waste your theater money, just save it for video.
