Synopsis

Bearing no relation to the 1929 Cecil B. DeMille epic of the same name, the three-reel Gaumont production Madam Satan was a vehicle for Parisian stage favorite Yvette Audry. The actress plays a supposedly demure foreign princess who cooks up various diabolical schemes while in the guise of international adventuress Madam Satan. Her exploits take her from the courts of Europe to the oil fields of Oklahoma. In her efforts to dispose of a powerful oil magnate, Madam Satan commandeers a battleship and tries to blast the magnate's transport ships out of the seas. The villainess is foiled by the timely intervention of the oil man's virtuous and resourceful daughter. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
