    Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

    by hido53

Saw the movie on Veteran's day with my two boys. We all enjoyed it. I had one, from the gut, out-loud guffaw when the escape vehicle was launched. Still chuckle when I visualize the scene! Plenty of laughs provided for children and adults from all the visual and slapstick comedy, and extra laughs for the older crowd supplied with double entendres, satirical takes on other movies, etc. Good entertainment. Voices matched the characters very well.

    Better than the original!

    by finman

We took our 4 year old to see Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. She had a great time, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We laughed out many several times. It was much better than the first Madagascar.

    better then the first

THis is even better then the first. It made me laugh throughout the movie and it had my nieces cracking up afterwards as well. The whole movie makes you laugh. And each character has become funnier its a must go. And if you kids you must go its hilarious. It continues from the last movie but has a new twist to it go and i watch it i recommend it!

It was great, we loved it. It was so funny, we have not laughed that much at the movie for a long time. Definitely go. Penguin characters are something new. Lots of fun.

Great Time, fun movie, kids love it, much better than #1

I took my two kids, 7 y/o boy, 4 y/o girl. We all really enjoyed the movie. The quality of the animation is excellent, the voices really do a great job, lots of good characters (I love the penguins), plenty of adult humor built in. The kids loved it, several laugh out loud moments for me, and a lot of shared laughs with the kids.

    PENGUINS RULE!

    by Pelican

Took my kids (ages 9 and 7) this afternoon, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The penguins are hilarious, and the backstory behind Alex the Lion's arrival in NYC actually choked me up (but then again, I'm a sap...) Anyway, the movie is peppered with lines that have some subtle adult humor, but nothing too crass or inappropriate. And, not to spoil the surprise, but those of us who grew up in the 70s will recognize some odd but fantastic soundtrack choices. Go, Go, GO!!!

    BETTER THAN THE FIRST

I did not like the first movie and was dreading going to this one. I only went because we were seeing it at the drive-in last night and that is so fun with the lawn chairs and the children huddled in the back of the van. Back on track... it was better than the first. Very funny! I loved it. There were some subtle hints of the lion being gay and the father coming to terms with it, but not obvious. Most people would not have picked up on this as it is a kid flick. Definitely go see.

    nice sequel

This was a very nice sequel to the first one. I thought it was funny and we sat through it twice. It is a go see. I think the adults will enjoy this movie as well as the kids. Some of the voices I didnt catch until the credits, the whole film was family oriented and it was a nice way to spend a Friday night.

    I Love It, Love It!

I just got back from the opening night's five o'clock showing that I saw with my four year old sister, and it was pure fun for me and her! I have to admit the plot and story line was not nearly as good as the first outstanding film, but this sequel sure as hell was funny. Well, if you like a good time, hate Alec Baldwin (who plays, as always, the bad guy), then you would love this movie. Also, this movie is good to see Bernie Mac (R.I.P.) in one of the last films he made, which also includes, "Soul Men" which had the same release date as "Escape to Africa." For families, friends and, kids that love the hilarious styles of comedy you would sure love this movie!
