I have seen the other installments of this. the first was really cute, the 2nd, not so much, but this one, I and my granddaughters really liked it. very nicely done. we did not see the 3D as I am not a fan of that, but this movie was really cute, well done and had a nice little message.

My daughter and I went to see this movie expecting the same quality as Madagascar 1 and 2. This movie just lacked everything. I did not enjoy it. I think children will like it because of all the action and colors but the writing was awful.

Was disappointed in this 3rd installment of Madagascar. The story line had lots of potential that never worked out, probably due to the concentration on action and special effects.
I know this is a "children's" movie but with the other 2 editions, there was plenty of dialogue and characterization that appealed to adults- i.e. the "pocket book lady", the hypochondriac giraffe, etc.
I would give this a B for kids and a C for adults.

I loved it...as did my 2 granddaughters 12 and 8...the best part was the zebra singing with afro and polkadots...the 12 year old came home and made that the ring on my phone !.
