Looper- A Disaster in Progress
"Time travel hasn't been invented yet. Used only in secret by the largest criminal organizations." The film is a disarray of action sequences and an unchained plot summary that leaves audience members regretfull of the high admission price. Looper includes an all star ensemble of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, and Bruce Willis. But even celebrity status couldn't fill the void of a film that failed to deliver. The film's protraganist is a hitman for hire dealing death blows to criminal entities from the future. Joseph Gordon-Levitt later finds his future self, an aged-battered Bruce Willis who manages to escape impending death. His character later reveals his true intentions are to eliminate a criminal mastermind code named the rainmaker, a sole entity responsible for the untimely death of his wife. The film spirals into an unending rollercoaster of violence, death, and blood-splattering with a few dull moments sprinkled here and there but ultimately a failed genre.
