Is it possible for a movie to be funny, thrilling and inspirational when it involves TIME TRAVEL

well shockingly YES! These characters and an ingenious storyline mark this film as one of the most intelligent and yet subtle in years. When i heard before going that there was Time Travel I groaned. I already had purchased the tickets. Then as the movie started and the Time Travel element gave way to serious action and a complex plot. I forgot my IS THIS SET IN THE FUTURE IS THIS SCIENCE FICTION bias and watched on. The characters are mesmerizing and the action unrelenting and you are swept up in a narrative that pushes you again and again to the edge of your seat. Great ending. Must Go!

Looper was better than expected

Time-traveling is usually a tricky thing to include in a film, but the director did quite a good job with it. I liked the story line a lot and the themes used. But most of all, I loved the performances by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt!! Also, I'm not sure why everyone keeps comparing it to Inception since it's a bit different but I would say this movie is much more easier to understand than Inception.

Pleasantly Surprised

I had no idea what to expect from Looper, but I was pleasantly surprised with it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so PERFECT as young Bruce Willis (which is how I choose to see it, get over it). His mannerisms, especially that smug smirk in certain scenes was so dead-on...it was creepy. Like others have said, I wish there was more Bruce Willis in the movie, and more of him and young Joe scenes together, but I liked the movie for what it was. I wasn't confused by any of it, and it's nothing like Inception, so I wish people would quit comparing the two. There were some scenes that were disturbing, only because I did not expect them, but it was a pretty good movie over all. I'd definitely see it again, if only just to see how much JGL became BW. And the little boy was SUPER CREEPY OMG. But still kind of adorable; a really good actor for such a young kid.

Great movie, well developed, fantastic story

This is just a must see movie. As long as you appreciate a great storyline, fantastic character development and some cerebral stimulation, this is the movie for you. There are very few story driven movies that I would go see again, knowing an ending, but this one is one of those few. I have not seen a film this good in years, I actually want to see it again just so I can pick up on some of the nuances I missed the first time around. I did bring my almost 12 year old son, and as long as your child appreciates a good movie with a solid storyline and is familiar with most profanities, just plan on having him/her close their eyes for about 20-30 seconds and you are good to go.
