Saw LOOPER last night. What an intense movie! It is rated R, so it is not your next family thanksgiving movie, but worth looking into... If future/time travel movies are your thing, you will LOVE IT! One of the best "SCI-FI" movies of the year! Action, technology, thinking, hero, girl, cars, a little humor... All in one movie. :) -Jordan

It was ok. Glad I did not spend the dough to see it in the theater. The bit werid was I couldn't figure out what the past dates were through the whole film. Was it 1939??? Or 2044/2074 as the movie states? No disrespect, but if it was supposed to reflect 2044 where were the technology, culture, costumes? Was that altered too? No cell phones, hardly any vechiles? Weird. No disrespect but the director should not ever try to persue any type of career in the Si-Fi releam of things in any real sense of manner, unless he has some type of crew to back him up.
And I was waiting to see the results of the demise of one's own ancestors, how can you rid your parent/grandparent or whatever without dimissing oneself? Was there a loop I missed, where they got to loop back? Some type of Quatum link that got around that fact?
Then the kid seemed to be like possesed and it almost seemed like some type of horror movie at that point. Really, pick one type of genre and stay with it.

This movie starts slow but picks up with an intriguing plot. This is not an action filled sci-fi movie but an intelligent one. What makes this a really good movie is even after it's over you'll find yourself still talking about it and wanting to actually be in the world of Looper... It's a very good movie.

Boring, too long , same old stuff; call a movie sci-fi, have a little sci-fi idea in it and then just pump it full of shooting and chasing just like all of the other brainless movies.

They blatantly disregard the temporal rules in order to attract viewers for more carnal reasons. This is a big mistake in this movie, as this movie is centered around time-travel.
This movie feels B movie, with all the typical red-flags (seemingly purposeless nudity, the over-use of the f-word, and disturbing, graphic images).
The end does have some interesting developments, but the most awesome parts of the whole story are really over-looked and under-explored. This will come as a huge disappointment to the viewer.
The best part in the whole movie is the end. Which is why I rated it so-so. 4.5 out of 10 nice-try.
