Skilled Portrayal of the Book

We really enjoyed the book and were a little reluctant to see the movie in case it might be cut up, changed or compromised. Silly us - this was the closest movie adaptation of a book I have ever seen. It wraps you in the humor, humanity, fear, hope and anxiety we loved initially.

I read the book several years ago and forgot most of it, but remembered the important part: that I thought it was one of the best books I ever read. And I love the movie. Ang Lee did a spectacular job of capturing the essense of the book. Look for this at the oscars.

I took my son to see the movie who is 9 years old. I thought it would be a little slow for him. maybe a little hard for him to understand. But he loved the movie.

This was a wonderful movie to see with my 12 year old daughter. I loved the message that this movie provides and I will take my 14 year old son to see this movie too. This is a wonderfully directed movie with beautiful cinematography!

A little Dissapointing

This movie has a good moral, with an interesting life of the boy, Pi, but there is a lot of voilence with the animals when their stranded in the boat, for a young child to see. Overall this movie is OK, but including the violence seen, I'll say it's a no.
