The Life of Pi--Go See it

I went to see this movie with my husband and daughters. My daughters are 13 and 11. This movie was so visually AMAZING!! Sometimes with movies you either get all visual stimulation and no plot or the opposite, This movie, however, had both. We laughed, cried, and cheered. If you can't make it to the theater to see this(which you should REALLY try hard to see it on the big screen) definantly buy this movie when it releaases on dvd, blu-ray, or the almost extinct VHS. I'd be a little wary to show this movie to children younger than my girls because smaller children may get frighted from some of the scenes. They may also become upset about the fate of some of the animals. As always though it's parental discretion. Otherwise, this film was breathtaking to watch and the plot was at times funny, exciting, and tragic. I truly believe this is a must see and it was unanimous from my whole family. I hope you enjoy this film as much as we did!

LOP Is a "fantastic" story depicting the coming of age journey of a young Indian boy who demonstrates how strong character and belief in one's self, can help you get through the most difficult times of your life. Kudos to his parents for supporting his inquisitiveness as a growing boy. He knew he would make it through because his parents and culture planted a faith in his core being.

What a movie!! I did not get to see it in 3D; although I don't know if I would have been able to watch it in that format. It was a fantastic movie....the special effects captured even dullest of eyed imaginations and left you feeling that you had experienced exactly what PI was going through. However, more than the special effects the writing was sharp and it held you captive while stirring your spiritual self. One of the most profound lines in the movie was at the end of the movie....When the grown up PI said " As it is with God; which story do you believe?". Great Piece of Work!. It wasn't was a story of strength....doubt....and faith. And without the suspension of disbelief the movie would have collapsed simular to that of organized religion. It's a most see.

The accents were difficult to understand at times, but if you listen closely you can understand it. The movie was beautiful. A sweet and yet sad story. I would recommend it.

A powerful story, narrated in first person, as Pi reveals his amazing adventure to the story writer in a way that leaves one wondering at the end if this was a halucinatory fantasy or pure reality. This was a beautiful film that was well scripted, offering the viewer an amazing mental, visual, and spiritual experience that satisfies the soul at many levels... Go!
