I loved it! Absolutely exhilarating cinematography and effects. My husband usually shies away from special effects movies, but now he sees the light and is looking forward to seeing other movies in animation and special effects. I never would have believed it! Two five star votes from mature adults.

Couldn't hold back the tears on the sad parts, but then there was a great uplift throughout the story bringing as many smiles as there were tears. Loved it!! Will certainly buy to add to my collection of classics.

Too long, dragged at the end

Yes, there are a lot of messages in this film.....if you can pick up on that type of thing. 'Richard Parker', the computer generated tiger is definitely 'alive' in the film. The other graphics are well done. The story drags and I kept wondering how much longer would the film continue. Glad when it ended. Not sure if kids under 12 (?) would enjoy it.

Not your usual fair......

Fresh, enthralling with more than just a hind of eastern mystersism this film is everything you thought it might be and then some. Visually it is a cornucopia of illusion and fantasy. Escapism at it's ultimate while displaying the indomitable complexities and contradictions contained in the human spirit. It is rare these days to find a film so far removed from the grinding formulated mediocrity typically turned out by tinsel-town these days.

Fantastic tale that had you guessing at the end - beautiful cinematography

This was a truly magical tale, beautifully shot by Ang Lee, who uses 3D in a way that does not detract from the film, but enhances it and makes you feel as if you are in the film. The story is touching, heartbreaking, funny, and brutal. I definitely recommend it.
