Very visual storytelling because Claudio is a very expressive visual artist. I loved seeing it.
I also loved what some didn't care for, the story ambiguities. It lets your imagination fill in parts and that makes it all the more entertaining.
3D done well. Totally worthy of your time in the theater. See you there!

You'll either love this movie or you will be lost. The story inspires deep intellectual thought. It is the first movie I can say you must see in 3D. It will surely win an award for special effects.

It was alright. Another classic cast away movie. A lot of obvious ocean "set" scenes, where the ocean water is completely still. The story was another of the same. Wait for this to come out on DVD.

Cinematrographically gorgeous, philosophically and theologically provocative, this movie will keep the thoughtful person engaged, on several levels, long after he/she has left the theater. Aside from being an enjoyable experience, the movie raises questions about the ultimate value of a thoroughly rational approach to dealing with life's vicissitudes (hence, I think, the titular reference to the mathematical constant, pi). Definitely two hours and five minutes well spent.

this is a movie not to be missed. The effects are breath taking, but more important, the story comes to life, especially in 3D.The actors, animals, storms all make for an exciting film.
