This movie is amazing. If you haven't seen it... you NEED to see it! It will tug at your heart strings and amaze you visually. The story is fantastic! If you don't have at least a heavy feeling in your chest or at least one tear... I'm pretty sure you're dead inside. Wonderful story of Love, Loss, Survival, Discovery, Courage and Imagination. This is the second time I've seen it in theaters... I took even more away from it with me the second time... and I may go again. The only other movie I visited more than twice in the theaters was Avatar. Just saying... its an amazing movie! Go See It!

Having not read the book previously I had no idea about the story except what I had seen on the trailers at the theater. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie but was concerned about the younger members of the audience sitting around me. They were squirming and not involved. I would not suggest it to anyone with children under 10. Some of the scenes are too graphic for that age group and some of the movie is not intriguing enough for that younger children. It is a very long movie, especially if you watch the credits all the way through. Wow, that was a great deal of people who worked on the movie.

Went expecting the usual animal-human relationship and the least to say, the movie had nothing usual in it. A wonderful story line and an amazing journey. Never felt the full force of 3D magic in any recent movies except this one.
A must watch.. Stunning visuals, the unusual story and exemplary acting makes it a movie to remember..
It might be a tad bit violent at a place or two for a small kid who goes expecting to see only happy friendly animals. Just that the movie shows animals as animals. :)

Yes, there are a lot of messages in this film.....if you can pick up on that type of thing. 'Richard Parker', the computer generated tiger is definitely 'alive' in the film. The other graphics are well done.
The story drags and I kept wondering how much longer would the film continue. Glad when it ended. Not sure if kids under 12 (?) would enjoy it.

A very artsy type of movie that's traliers only show 1/2 of the movie. The 3-D is some of the best of the year with the right amount of depth and effects to make the extra money. The story is Pi and his family in the first half of the 2 hour movie and should be watched just to see how director Ang Lee made the supposed unflimable novel. Actors are good, but not worth oscar nominations. Bottom Line: Watch the film to see a good oscar nominee, but don't bring any child under 11 though because some of the scenes are very graphic, like when a hyena eats a zebra and a tiger eats a goat.
