A brilliant story that lends itself to a multiplicity of interpretations. Told in a poetic and understated way. A great reward for the patient viewer.

Best Vampire movie I have ever seen...

Written November 28, 2008
Amazing! A well constructed narrative of a child inflicted with the curse of the vampire. Ingenious and hauntingly good. Don't go to some cheap flare with Twilight_see the movie that will have you telling others why it moves you and makes you cringe as well. A must see!!!

Let the Right One In

Uniquely haunting and sensitive, very atmospheric. Excellent story, direction, and acting. Subtle and smart. The dark, Northern European environment plays a beautiful supporting role. Explores what for me was a hitherto untapped aspect of the way vampires and humans work out the things they most deeply need and in the process realize their deepest nature, culminating in a wonderfully satisfying ending which nevertheless does not allow one to rest easy. I am dreading the American remake, but maybe it won't be as bad as I fear. This film stands on its own as a masterful expression of film art; I loved it.
