beautifully rendered emotionally charged classic

It is kind of a movie about the good and the bad.
you might have to watch it a second time, because some of it is confusing.
I don't know if it is good for kids, because it shows a lot of brutality.

The movie was very cute & fun, although the 3D didn't do anything for it & wasn't worth the extra money, I can't imagine seeing it in regular (2D?) would have made it less enjoyable. If they make a sequel (there was something like 15 books in the series) I would definitely go see it, just not in 3D.

I went to this movie expecting something horrible where the IMAX wasn't important and was only incorporated in a few scenes with bad dialogue and acting; however, this certainly was not the case. I admit; I did not care for it at first and the only reason I did partake in going to it was because I had nothing better to do or to watch, and thus my expectations of it were not high. I am proud to see that this movie has proved me wrong, and that I fully enjoyed myself. The IMAX perhaps enhanced the already amazing quality of the movie, and while the battle scenes were not like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, they certainly were satisfactory with their animation and choreographing.
Overall, I suggest going to this movie if you want to have your mind blown away. It had a serious tone, certainly, but also had humor integrated into it.
Certainly better than Avatar in storyline and visuals.

Reminds one of Harry Potter with wings. Worth seeing for entertainment value. 3-D is wonderful.
