Terrible Sound Ruined It!

By NOLA Bass
Written October 18, 2012
Saw it at the AMC Elmwood Palace 20 in Metairie, LA. Wow, what a rip-off. The movie started and the volume was so low you could barely hear it. After the audience yelling to turn it up for 2 songs, they finally did a little then a little more after another song. However, the sound was awful. No bass, drums sounded like tin cans, very tinny, and barely audible surround if any. What is the point of paying $15 + fees per ticket when the sound would have been better at home. I'd have rather waited and just bought the DVD with the $32 + the refreshments. Total ripoff. I will upate this to note that AMC has contacted me via my Twitter post, so at least they are following up and sent me a customer service form asking for more info.

The show was great. The theater had the sound so low it was hard to hear it. They corrected it by the second song. This is something everyone who likes Led Zeppelin should see.

Zep Rules !

This was such a wonderful experience in the theater. Truly amazing to see these living legends still at it. To put it in perespective. Everyone in the theater was screaming "Turn it up" one guest went to the office and came back successful. They turned the volume up which is really the only way to listen to Zep. The entire concert was fabulous. as for the Late John Bonhams son Jason Bonham filling in for dad. All I gotta say is "The fruit does not fall far from the tree" EXCELLENT !!!!!

It was AWE SUM. Bonham was key, and he utterly nailed it. Sound and visuals and performance were perfection, with the exception of the tired and over rated Stairway. Best moment: Bass intro to Dazed and Confused...brought the house down. I saw it at the AMC 25 in Times Square, NYC. Plants vocals were surprisingly fresh and clean. Kashmir was EPIC. Jonsey was Johnny on the spot, and Pagey was rockin' and masterful. Best Jason moment: drum solo on Rock and Roll, ending the concert. See This.

Epic Fail from Film Distributor @ Lighthouse Cinema in Pacific Grove, CA

Went to See the "One Night Only" showing of Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day Tonight. However, there was a Theater Authentication Code Failure at the Lighthouse Cinema in Pacific Grove, CA. So, after waiting almost 2 hours, we were all told that a gentleman in the UK at the Film Distributors Office who emails out the digital authentication codes to each theater, which enables the Digital Film to play, was giving up after 3 of the codes failed to work. So, we all missed the 'one night only' showing of the Zeppelin 'Live Concert Film' and the A hole at the UK office said he was giving up and going to bed. Thanks A Lot.... (distributor responsible = Omniverse Vision UK)
