This was completely wonderful! Anyone who loves Zeppelin will indeed need to own this! The theater experience was as close as it gets to the real thing!

I saw this on October 17th at one of two Southern California theaters showing it at the time. The concert footage is straightforward and in your face. I saw Zep live in 1977 and it's as close as you can get to actually seeing the band live. The entire audience applauds, cheers, sings along and does everything as if they were there.
Unlike their other concert film: The Song Remains The Same, this film has no excerpts, no scenes backstage, in hotels or in limos. Just excellent concert footage.
Jason Bonham did a spectacular job as drummer for the band and with all due respect for his dad, fit in perfectly as if he belonged there. For any serious rock and roll fans out there, I highly recommend this movie, preferably in a non-AMC theater, as our theater experience could've been far better despite the quality of this film.

Easily the greatest musical foursome in history and Im sure there might be a couple others out there who would agree. That being said, lets break it down to just the basics, 4 guys on stage playing thier instruments. No prerecording, no dance segments and just no faking it. GREAT MUSIC real and pure...

First,I was completely lead to believe this concert was filmed and presented in IMAX with RPX concert quality sound by the Fathom Events CEO and by the labeling on the tickets. However, once we were already inside theater,we were confronted by the manager of the Edwards Irvine IMAX Theater and he explains that,1st,"there was a problem during the production of this concert that caused static and that the sound does drop out all together, but it only happens a few times during the very beginning.and 2nd that,"no,it was NOT being presented in neither IMAX nor RPX sound". Once the show started there was noticeable deficiency in the sound quality. Then suddenly the sound drops out along with pixelated and distorted video. This lasted for the first 3 songs. Then, much to our dismay, the sound completely drops out so we are now watching a concert with zero sound whatsoever...this lasts for an entire 10 minutes before they figured it out. the poor quality sound lasted the entire show.RIPPED&PISTOFF

After the CEO of Fandango boasts about their great technology & sound during the previews, the movie that had considerable promise starts with barely audible sound for more than 15 minutes with the audience jeering to "turn it up!!" Finally, when the volume is concert appropriate, the sound kept cutting out & speakers could not handle the loud drumming, resulting in that loud digital screeching/popping sound that occurs when speakers are about to blow. This happened at least 3-4 times per minute, making the experience unbearable. As if that were not bad enough, the picture kept cutting out with digital pixilation problems. I am not sure if there was a problem with the satellite stream on Fandango's end or if the theater just had terrible bandwith or terrible speakers, but the entire experience was awful, especially after hearing about what lengths Fandango supposedly goes through to create a great concert experience with the best technology. Irvine Specrum should have used RPX !!!
