I was too young to see this movie when it came out so I've only seen it on TV. The first time was on a regular square TV, and the second was in letterbox on the same square TV. When I saw it in letterbox I was blown away with the amazing vistas, so I had to see it when it came out in the theatres. I took the afternoon off work to see this movie and I can only say BREATHTAKINGLY AMAZING. Glad I took the time off work to see it.

This movie: "...Lawrence of Arabia..." was more 'EPIC' than I remember so many years ago!
BUT...it was NOT worth the $12.50 ticket price...And, what the " Bloody Hell " is a convenience fee? ! ?
"...Semi-Starving college student..."

Wow. Wow. Wow. In a certain sense I just saw Lawrence of Arabia for the first time tonight. While I’ve seen it in a theater before (twice I think), that print did not compare to this new digital restoration. It looked like it might have been shot just this year, not 50 years ago.
The crystal clear picture doesn’t just make the cinematography shine brighter though. The acting also really benefits, not that the performances weren’t amazing before. Now every twitch or flick of the eyes is there to add even more depth.
A few shots were clearly taken from lower quality negatives and some audio looping done for the reconstruction in ‘88 really stood out (in a way I don’t remember noticing before). Overall though this new restoration truly presents it the way it should be seen. If it makes it back into theaters again, go

This movie holds up extremely well, the cinematography, script, acting, it is all superb. The new digital restoration is wonderful, amazing, and a joy to behold.

I had never seen this movie all the way through. Bits & pieces here and there. However, it is my husband's all time favorite movie, so, when I saw that it was going to be at the theater, I surprised him with tickets. Turns out I absolutely loved it!!
