In this, the first Western released by J.P. McGowan's Syndicate Film Exchange, Tom Tyler starred as a cowboy seeking revenge for the murder of his father. Veteran actor-director McGowan produced, directed, wrote, and played one of the villains in this inexpensive oater, hiring former Film-Booking-Office star Tyler as the leading man. Syndicate, in fact, basically raided the old, nearly defunct FBO lot, and both Bob Custer and Bob Steele would soon join Tyler as Syndicate stars. Sally Winters wrote most of Syndicate's Westerns, with Hap Depew as the cameraman and a stock company that also included stunt man Cliff Lyons, veteran bad guys Bud Osborne, Tom Bay, and Al Ferguson, and comedian Bobby Dunn.
