loved the movie,Shia Labeouf actually didn't over act in this movie, tom hardy did a good job as always, standout preformance came from the bad guy played by guy pearce. i wasn't sure if this film wasn't going to a bummer, but it was excellent. one warning to someone going to be watching it, it contains a lot of brutal violence.

It was dark

I mean it opens with dark scenes. I love the idea about local boys that need to learn to take care of each other at all cost, but the story went all over the place, and I left before it was over

Great performances all around, even from Shia (well, he was good). Still not used to seeing Nick Cave's name on a screenwriting credit. He and Hillicoat also collaborated on The Proposition, which was effin' awesome.

America's Own

This is true meat and potato of what makes the small town American proud to be an American. The viewer finds themselves wanting more for it feels like they are sitting at a family gathering and hearing the elders spin a tail. A must see to understand why so many are protective of their own, proud to live in the country and proud to be in the United States.

Very Intense Movie

This is not a particularly enjoyable movie but the acting is absolutely superb so you should go see it for that. And, Tom Hardy does an excellent accent. Would be a hard one for an American but a truly difficult one for a Brit. Way to go, Tom.
