I loved this movie. I think Shia's performance was so amazing and convincing, very different to his transformers movies. I loved Tom Hardy, his character was just a tough believable character, wishing to be like him. I loved this movie so much that I hated the bad guys, it felt so real. I would definitely see it again. It kept me in suspense, I hate that, which to me makes a great movie.

Good Movie

This is a good story, but I have to admit, it made me nervous to watch as in what horrible thing is going to happen next. There is very little nudity so I'm not sure what the big deal is there. Be ready for the bloody violence that is likely authentic to the place and era where the story is set.

Lawless-Great Story

I really wanted to like this movie so I didn't read the reviews before going. Considering how good the story is and wonderful performances I left the theatre wishing their was more. The story unfolded so slowly and the relationships between the characters was left wanting during many scenes because so much of the time was spent on violence.

This movie paid great attention to detail and kept it true to the times. The actors all seemed to be 100% dedicated and lost in their roles. The entire movie kept me paying attention and waiting for the next scene. I am definitely buying this movie and will be seeing it in theaters again. 100% a 10/10 all the way!

Left unfulfilled

This is one of those kinds of "based on a true story" movies that you can't help thinking the actual true story just might be better than this film. Although the cast is superb, it always felt as if they were being held back, allowing the movie to just skim along the surface of what could have been a much deeper story. Perhaps their target audience are the younger set that just wanted to see LeBeouf in a role unsupported by Optimus Prime and then fill it in with lots of action and mixed facial expressions as he tries to grow emotionally though the scenes. The Optimus Prime in this film is played perfectly by Tom Hardy - deeply moving in his restraint. This is the only character where holding back makes his character stronger and more engaging. Also how was a great actor like Gary Oldham totally unused in this film. I was kept waiting for his character to emerge through the story. All in all, I wanted to know a lot more about these characters and was left unfulfilled.
