Drought is a continual threat in Africa, especially in Namibia. A combination of high heat and little rainfall creates an environment of hardship for its residents, who have learned to exist with a dearth of water. Last Year's Rain Fell on Monday examines the lives of these residents whose thoughts and actions revolve around water -- dreams of excess water, a business involving lack of water, and the conjuring up of rainwater. The beauty of the landscape is tempered by the difficulty of day-to-day living. There is so little precipitation that the expected annual rainfall of the region can occur on one day. ~ Alice Day, Rovi
