    Superb Performances

    by raypier

The performances were outstanding. There was more info in the background clips than was necessary. There was one incident that was totally unacceptable. Near the the end of the Rhapsody in Blue performance the sound went off for a moment and then came back on.

  • So-so

    Orange image

    by alizafr

The Gershwin concert was shown as a copy of a video, and maybe that's why in Germantown, MD we saw a pinkish orange foggy film. Terrible image. The sound was perfect, though.

    Fantastic!

Gustavo is so very cool! The way he presents how he wants to hear the music to the orchestra reminds me of my high school conductor: dancing, stories, emphasis. (My conductor went on to become professor emeritus at the university). He makes the music so rich it is fun to watch and hear! I want to buy the video! The additional rehearsal pieces were very informational, as well. Herbie Hancock, while known as a jazz musician, can still be the master of the music! I never saw him this light before. Very good performance.
