You forget that it's Jack Black

I guess I worried going to see Kung Fu Panda that I wouldn't be able to separate Jack Black from the character of Po the Panda. I was pleasantly surprised. Panda is a must see and - by all means - take the kiddies. There is a warm story at the heart of Kung Fu Panda that even my 5 year old picked up on, namely, believing in yourself is all you really need to become what you dream of being. Dustin Hoffman was an excellent choice as the Kung Fu Master and the shear humor he inflects into his characterization of Shi-fu shows why he is an actor's actor. The script is first class and just when you think "aha!, here it comes!" it goes in a completely different yet wonderful direction. The epic battle between Po and Ty Lueng is so funny you'll laugh while you cheer. (I think I wet my pants a little!) Writing like this is hard to come by. Don't miss it in the Theatre. It?s a big screen extravaganza for the eyes and the soul. My children were better for seeing it - who knew?

    Been a while...

I thought the direction of kid friendly movies had taken a turn for the worse in the last year or so until Kung Fu Panda! It was so great, that I saw it once with the kids, and we loved it so much that we dragged my hubby to see it the next day. Rare to see a movie that makes kids and adults laugh equally as hard.

A Must See for All Animation Lovers

    by ejgoyle

If you love animated movies, then you will love this movie. Even if you don't, you will still love this movie. Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman as student and master.. who would have thunk it. But the two play very well off of each other and the animation is absolutely superb. From the beginning to the end, you are laughing and amazed. This movie has bumped The Incredibles to number 2 on my list of all time favorite animated movies. I can't wait to see it agan.

PANDAMONIUM!!! ALL THE RIGHT MOVES - WELL-EXECUTED!!!

DreamWorks' Kung Fu Panda is 1.5 hr of sheer FUN and ENTERTAINMENT - nicely paced, nicely-executed - GORGEOUS stylish VISUALLY-CAPTIVATING DETAILED animation!

Voiced by James Hong, Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, and etc., this movie is packed with CATHARTIC smoothly-choreographed fight scenes/sequences that leave the audience clapping for joy! Oh - and there were MANY humorous moments as well! (that includes the credits)

    Love the 'ZEN' moments!

    My main grouses are :
    1) all the characters need to be better developed - especially the Furious Five,
    2) the supporting cast don't really have too much opportunities to shine,
    3) the plot is predictable AND the antagonist's fate in the end was not shown. So, that leaves us speculating. Maybe there will be a sequel?

    Advice:
STAY until after the credits for a SURPRISE scene.

Recommendation: GO SEE IT! It's a LOT of FUN!

    GRADE : A (mostly for the HIGH-QUALITY visuals/animation)

    A fun movie

I took my 6 year old daughter and she, my wife and I all thought it was funny. I like the way it was filmed and thought that it was a very beautiful looking movie with a fairly decent storyline. I would have liked to have have seen more character development in the all of the "furious 5" but that, I think is my only complaint.

Great animation! Great simple story! Great character work (that's also funny)!

What a year for animation...between this and "Horton" and the masterpiece that is "WALL-E" we may be seeing a watershed year for the CGI animation crowd.

    Full of awesome-ness!

    by TheLori

Loved it! The animation, both scenes and characters, was beautiful, and the movie itself was hysterical. I haven't laughed this hard at a movie in a long time, everyone else in the theater, kids and adults, were all laughing too. Also just enough of a serious twist to it to keep it from being too goofy....great stuff, go to see the animation even if for nothing else. The previews looked great, and I was not disappointed!

    Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda is a great movie. It welcomes the art of war, Kung Fu and it shapes a story that all can enjoy. Unlikely heros are and art form that appeals to all. The Panda is such a special creature, and it is some how evokes ideas about peace and passive resistance. He is a happy hero and wants to nothing to do with harming anyone but his ability to bounce back makes him the main character. The other character are perfect. I have already purchased the Nintendo Wii game Kung Fu Panda and me and my child love it. This is a hit, definitely a sequel, maybe even a third one, it could last for a long time, so many stories to tell. I went to see it at a midnight screening. I think the Neilson raters had so many people that answered question on forms they passed out, that they worn out. They did not even ask me about the movie, I had only good reviews. It is wonderful especially since Forbidden Kingdom just hit box office pay dirt. I loved forbidden Kingdom too. Well, that is my
