The seminal events of the 1970's and early '80s are told from one man's perspective, but what a perspective it is. He was perhaps one of NYC's greatest mayors.

Beautifully executed documentary! As a consumate New Yorker for over 30 years, I was so touch by the content and information in the film that important for the history books. Ed Koch was truly a one of kind and loved this city... May he rest in peace and know that we will always be looking ofr his feedback and opinion!

Great movie. Everyone who lives in NY should definitely see, and even those who don't. There is a lot to learn from this NYC icon about politics and life.

We will likely never see the likes of him in another politician, NY politician in our lifetime. He was a real character, and certainly for the people. I was concerned since his passing, that I had seen everything in this film on all the clips shown on news broadcasts--however, thankfully that was not the case. A native New Yorker, there were things I was surprised to find out about Ed Koch, particularly he did have a lot of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews...a very pleasant surprise, and seeing them speak so eloquently of their uncle at the funeral this morning was quite satisfying. In addition, I was completely unaware of the situation with the Sydenham hospital uptown (before my time in Manhattan and my interest in politics) and was reminded of how he disappointed those in the gay community during the AIDS crisis. The film was a "hoot," historical and entertaining, I recommend it highly.
