    Kit Kittredge: An American GirlFan

Great movie with theme and emotions prevalent today. Thoroughly enjoyed as this was the pick of one of my grandsons.

    An american girl and dream.

     by  bziglar1

This movie was great for my 10 year old daughter to see. It is so much better quality and has higher standards than the movies with teens half dressed and being disrespectful. This movie shows that it is cool to have morals, use your brain and not your body, and help out your fellow man. This movie was great!

    Refreshing

With a company like American Girl where the dolls cost $100 each, I think it was surprising to see a movie released by them about appreciating what you have and not judging others for what they don't have.

It was a great experience for my daughter and me (she is 7) to see such a heartwarming film about a time her greadparents lived through but she knows so little about. I would definately recommend seeing it to anyone...just make sure your child is mature enough to sit through a NON action movie.

    Review

My review of this movie is good. Willow Smith had all of us fooled and did exceptionally well. Great cast. Nicework. The only thing that I did not enjoy was the theater staff.

    Kit Kittredge: An American Girl

    The movie was excellent!
Both my husband and I took our 9 year old daughter to see it, and we all felt we could relate to the different issues touched upon. There was much room for discussion after we left the movie, and a history lesson for our daughter about the depression. We laughed, cried and just plain enjoyed every minute of it!
This is what movie making should be about not all the violence and sex portrayed in most movies Hollywood puts out. If we provide more movies like this all across the board maybe there would be a trickle effect in society and some of the violent and promiscuous behavior would stop. After all, our youth try to mirror what happens on the big screen and on TV. When will Hollywood take a stance?
We can't wait for the next "An American Girl" movie to be released.

    Wonderful family movie

This is a perfect movie for 5-12 kids and for their families, as well.

I can't review it because the theater pulled it that morning. So the net result of my day was a wasted half hour each way trip and three very disappointed granddaughters. The theater's only response was "sorry about that." You don't really want me to share this "review" with friends! Very disappointed with Loews AMC

    Good Show

This was a very heartwarming tale of a young girl growing up in the Great Depression with big aspirations of beoming a newspaper reporter. The story chronicles the lives of her friends and family as they faced unemployment, foreclosure and the cultural stigmas attached with poverty. It also explores the prejudice against the "hobo culture" and showed an intimate side of this misunderstood group from that era.

I think it's a great movie for young adolescents and my 77 year old mother absolutely loved it! It actually sparked a long conversation about her youth and growing up during the Great Depression. I highly recommend it!
