Well where to start no story line. Impossible to follow. Brad Pitt was good but other than that the move plain stunk. Would never suggest this movie to anyone

I'm sorry, I love Brad Pitt but this movie was very, very boring. I wouldn't see this again if they played it on TV for free. The sole and only thing I liked about the movie was the quote at the end. Other than that, nah, booo!

Hitting YourSelf In The Face With A Hammer Would Be Easier

This movie never makes up its mind as to what it wants to be so in the meantime, it drags you through a subtle political discourse that sticks out like a sore thumb coupled with endless sea of graphic violence that rarely adds to the film's attempted plot points. The whole think felt like, sort of, David Lynch trying to do a hitman's version of Lost In Translation, failing miserably in the process.

The Friends of Eddie Coyle

For those familiar with that 70's classic you will understand the reference for those that dont....go watch it. While the critics seem to dislike it, I however on balance liked the movie. Mr Pitt I believe is a very generous actor meaning......he seems very comfortable to merely take a back seat in order to support another actors dominant role..a rear gift indeed in an ego driven industry. For me the most interesting and riveting character was James Gadolfini his was an oscar caliber performance while Brad played foil his under stated role complimented Gadolfini brilliantly. The Australian character too was notable... btw my definition of notable is...one that is 100% credible and obliterates the lines between fiction and reality. Admittedly; this movie has a niche market, but for those of us looking for the unusual this movie provides something a little different and indulges our slightly darker and prurient cinematic fixation.

Gritty, Ugly, Bordering On Gruesome, Not Exactly Fun Entertainment.

I suppose some people require this sort of stimulation as entertainment in order to fill a void they feel in their lives. I don't. I wish I could say I enjoyed this movie because I really do admire the work of Liotta, Pitt and that Sopranos guy....OK, maybe not that last guy so much. Anyway, you'd probably like to have your dinner after this feature, since it's going to make you nauseous, provided of course you don't fall asleep first. In fact, I saw a midnight showing with about 12 other people and an infant. In the end, most everyone was snoozing, EXCEPT the baby.....due to the loud noises no doubt. That "Emperor's New Clothes" crowd that follows Pitt around in a gaggle will probably swoon at this farce, as usual. As for the normal people.....well, unless you're INCREDIBLY bored, I'd advise waiting for the DVD or stream. For all the expensive talent and 'artsy fartsiness," this movie is just plain dull. Skip it. You'll be glad you did.
