Which was precisely what the audience suffered through 97 minutes of this brutal, taut expose where all are nefarious; just varying degrees of separation. The once, remarkably handsome Brad Pitt, plays philosophical "gun-for-hire", "Jackie Cogan" who "kills" from a distance, so as not to get too personal, sentimentally involved; his creed is ambushed by circumstances and his assassinations spread blood as intensely as water in post-Katrina , New Orleans...
Director Andrew Dominik features a seasoned cast (Pitt, Richard Jenkins, Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini, Scott McNairy) in a glum, lugubrious plot, revolving around the financial woes of dismal, droll, untoward individuals...

This film gets an A-Plus for acting and an F for content. The casting was perfect for this film and the acting was perfect. It's just too bad that every other word in this film is an F this and F that and more. It has some violent scenes that are graphic; but not so many that made them over the top. I'm not a prude; but the overkill of the F word made me want to walk out. There are sentences that have two to three F words in them alone. If the script would have taken out 80% of the cussing this would have been an excellent film. Wake up Hollywood, there's a reason why so many animated films are making hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office.

The problem with this movie is not that is bad but that everyone was expecting the next snatch , goodfellas or pulp fiction. The acting was very good but is not a action pack movie .. There's dialogue and there's a message in the core of the movie .. In other words is not for someone who is looking for a simple movie .. This movie was serios, dark violent and not fun to watch . It was movie that sends a very ugly vive .. Bratt Pitt was excellent as always

Disclaimer, I walked out 35 minutes into the actual film. I walked out 1 hour from the start of the previews. It was ridiculous.
Anyway, they need to rename this "Everything in the world, no matter what liberal's policy led us to economic disaster is all G.W. Bush's fault." It's a pathetic attempt to support the narrative by Obama and Hollywood liberals, (or as I like to call them -Anti-Americans), that Bush dug such a big hole, that a bigger hole needs to be dug in order to save the Republic. I had to walk out. It was 30 minutes of two losers walking around, smoking and doing heroine(while Bush and Obama talk about bank bailout), people playing poker whilst listening to Bush talk about the bank bailouts, a corporate type mob boss talking to Brad Pitt about setting things straight(while listening to Bush talk about bank bailout, or Obama heroically trying to fix what he inherited), or a Mob leader driving, listening to Bush talk about bank bailout. Pathetic.

Shocking graphic violence, pointless dialogue, and a movie that you will want to forget you ever saw. My husband walked out early on, sadly, I did not and so wish I had!!
