Brutal realism without sacrificing the heroic story. The fact that anything can happen to anyone keeps this from seeming cliche, but the story does not pointlessly abuse the characters in an attempt to seem edgy. It all fits together nicely.

Go or No? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Definitely GO, goddamn it.
Hold on. No swearing, now. Colonel Stars and Stripes doesn’t go in for taking the Lord’s name in vain either. Though he sure doesn’t mind getting his German shepherd to rip a pedophile’s balls off. That’s no problem. In fact that’s his specialty. Justice forever!
But according to the UK’s The Independent, something in this movie reminds the actor of Sandy Hook and so he’s had to disown it.
What exactly in this movie is like Sandy Hook, exactly? From what I can tell, it’s the opposite scenario: Carrey’s character’s strong suit, after all, is precisely to protect kids. And the kids in this movie go after some pretty evil mothers and, well, kick their asses. So isn’t kids standing up for themselves against crazy people a good thing, even if it’s taken to its extreme in the comic book fantasy world?

I think one of the first things you need to do is separate out those who don't like this film and never saw nor would have liked the first one from those who did see and liked the first one. I can see why this isn't everyone's cup of tea. However, if you really enjoyed the first one, this one is also really good; though slightly below par with the first one. However, I didn't find the story muddled and I didn't find it all over the place. I thought it was a good story, well paced, and thorough. The same characters and same actors back to deliver another couple hours of the same entertainment. I enjoyed this film and am really glad they took the time to give us another dose of Kick-***and Hit Girl..

Typical teenage comic book characters who are oddly cast as gangbanger-mentality vigilantes in disguise, who engage in one gratuitously bloody fight after another. Senseless, gory violence is the sole plot of this inane trash, which in the end delivers nothing more than a heavy handed dose of violence-based role modeling for the intended teen audience to act-out on.

Kick-***2 kicks SO MUCH ASS! I loved every minute of it. It's darker and more violent than the first one, but there's also a lot of humor in it that balances it out. I love that ultimately the good guys always win. I liked that Mindy explores if she can be a "normal" teenager and Christopher Mintz-Plasse is delightfully evil as the head of the "Toxic Mega Cunts." I love everyone in the movie, especially Chloe Grace Moretz, she ROCKS. I want to see this movie again and again!
