Worthy Sequel

The first Kick-***was original and awesome! Kick-***2 obviously loses the originality of the first movie, but is only slightly less awesome. It has the action and comedic timing of its predecessor and adds a little bit of mean girls to the mix. Kick-***2 has a pretty shaky plot, but who cares? The scripting is great and the details are perfect. The action is violent and immensely satisfying. I don't know who Aaron Taylor-Johnson trained with, but he's unbelievably ripped. Jim Carrey is funny and enjoyable, but the star of the show is Chloë Grace Moretz. She really is Kick-Ass! Christopher Mintz-Plasse made for the perfect awkward teenage supervillian. Don't let the youthful casting fool you. Kick-***2 deserves it's R rating. If you're up for a fun, violent, comic book style flick...check out this movie! There is a scene after the very end of the credits. If you like my reviews, add me as a fan. I'll add you back!

Great action scenes, the cinematography and editing was very well done. Its a little more violent than the first movie. If you are a fan of the first movie, you will definetly enjoy it. if you saw the first one and did not like it, I do not recommend you watch it. However the comedy in it is great. Some racist comments but nothing too bad.

I feel the writers of the movie tried too hard to close the loop, after the ending of the first. It just didn't have the same intense feel. The only character I cared about dying was John Leguizamo's. How could you kill off sid?

Excellent Movie

About halfway through Kick ***2 I decided it was the single best superhero movie I had ever seen. Sure, it lacked the realism and symbolism of The Dark Knight, the flash and style of The Avengers, or the butthole chin of Daredevil, but at its core, Kick ***2 is about the core fundamentals of comic books. It's what makes superheroes like Spider-Man and Batman so loved that made Kick ***2 a great movie; the idea that not only can an average person stand up and become a hero, but that they can also lose. The true value in this movie however, is that you are actually seeing two different movies; the standard superhero movie, and the girl growing into herself movie. Now I know what you're all thinking; the second one is one you could do without, but trust me, they execute it flawlessly. There were maybe 4 or 5 times throughout the course of the movie where I legitimately had to wipe my eyes because they were getting blurred and I didn't want to miss a single moment.

Kick-***2 - good wholesome fun

Go or No? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Definitely GO, goddamn it. Hold on. No swearing, now. Colonel Stars and Stripes doesn’t go in for taking the Lord’s name in vain either. Though he sure doesn’t mind getting his German shepherd to rip a pedophile’s balls off. That’s no problem. In fact that’s his specialty. Justice forever! But according to the UK’s The Independent, something in this movie reminds the actor of Sandy Hook and so he’s had to disown it. What exactly in this movie is like Sandy Hook, exactly? From what I can tell, it’s the opposite scenario: Carrey’s character’s strong suit, after all, is precisely to protect kids. And the kids in this movie go after some pretty evil mothers and, well, kick their asses. So isn’t kids standing up for themselves against crazy people a good thing, even if it’s taken to its extreme in the comic book fantasy world? Read more at: AmerikanMovieKritik.wordpress dot com
