I liked the film enough, but it was not what I expected. It is basically a film during one of his stand up routines in New York. His sentiment and emotions are raw and heartfelt and I left feeling a bit cheated because I wanted more, more more. The movie is only an hour and fifteen minutes long and that includes the set up for the show.
Kevin Hart is for adults only and those that are not easily offended by the "N" word.
The routine focuses on Kevin explaining or dispersing some of the "dumb" rumors going on about him. He talks about real life situations and puts a funny spin on them. He explains why his marriage ended...he talks about his friends not backing him up in a pinch, ex girlfriends and some really crazy situations, plus he gives us FIRE...literally...lol.
I would not say it is a must see, but it is enjoyable.

When I read that Hart spent the first 30 minutes of this one hour film bragging about his success and broadcasting all the guys that ride his coattail, I thought, "how bad could it be"? It's pretty bad. But when I saw it, it wasn't funny. No literally, there are NO LAUGHS for the first half hour of this film. I get that he was trying to do like Martin's Run Tell Dat, but he's not Martin. He does not have enough skin in the game for people to care about his personal life yet.
Either way, it did not feel like quality comedy writing. It was just more of Hart acting silly trying to convince the audience that what's he's saying is funny because he says it is. Total waste.
Plus 75% of the film was about his ex-wife. I don't remember if his girlfriend was shown at all but he clearly said he was SINGLE, loud and proud. Maybe there's trouble in paradise and the grass really isn't greener on the divorced side. LOL

I saw this movie and I thought it was pretty good, and have to admit I did laugh alot in this movie. But the last movie he did called Laugh at My Pain was better then this one.

There's a stupid opening. Then the stand up starts...
It drags in places and he's not as consistently funny as he was in "Seriously Funny." But he still makes you laugh like no other.
As a movie experience goes, it's not great. You pay as much as you would for a 120 minute movie and get only 75 mins.
As a stand up experience goes, you don't get the energy of the crowd had you been in MSG yourself.
As a hybrid of the two, it just about works. Cheaper price than seeing him live...not quite the same experience.
Overall, if you're a fan of his...go see it!
He's still the funniest guy out right now!
