A worker is laid off from his job in the factory and takes off to wander in a country suffering from economic woes. Finding a new job, he steals the wallets of his fellow employees before a worker revolt has him on the run again. He joins up with a singer, but the man is hopelessly inept and can't carry a tune in a bucket, and after returning to his old job, he is shot dead as he visits the outhouse. The film attempts to condemn the people who are mired in a lower cultural standing while trying to say something positive about the rights of workers. ~ Dan Pavlides, Rovi
