It was absolutely incredible. I already loved Jurassic Park as a kid, so being able to experience it now with the IMAX 3D (not just regular 3D) allowed for me to actually BE in Jurassic Park. I jumped, I screamed, I smiled. The sound and picture of IMAX 3D really did make you feel like you were right there in Jurassic Park, not just in the "movie".

Jurassic Park: IMAX & 3D

It was amazing how much better the experience was seeing this movie in IMAX 3D even if I thought the original movie was great when I first saw it 20 years ago. Except for the computers looking a bit retro, the rest of the movie was even more exciting then before. I even knew when things were going to happen and still I jumped and screamed as if I was totally surprised for the first time. Good call making Jurassic Park into an IMAX 3D experience.

A 20 year old movie that's still got it.

There were shots that had an entirely new effect with the addition of convergence in 3D. Shots had a lot more depth that seemed real and not forced. One particular shot of note is Grant waving a flare at the T-Rex. The camera is low to the ground and there's this sense of depth that I have not seen since Avatar.

I loved the original movie, so I knew this one would be fun. But I was surprised by how much difference the IMAX 3D made. It was suspenseful and exciting, even though I knew what was going to happen. Great movie!

Ok so sounds like I'm disappointed, well I'm not, When I 1st saw JP It had me....well on the edge of my seat so to speak, I said (after seeing it 5 times) they need to do the next one in 3D. Which comes to the point of Why? Why didn't this movie get made in 3D then, other then the technology, or the time period, but hell if you can build a life size T-Rex (robotic, not CG for the most part) then you could've figured out how to do 3D., With all that said, I didn't expect much going in, never been to an IMAX, so the experience was awesome, especially the rumbling of my chair when the T-Rex roared.....I'll end it like this, don't expect a whole lot of in your face dinosaurs, but the ones that do get in your face pretty fan fricken tastic, I admit i did jump a few times like i did the 1st time I seen it.
