Remember the first time you saw 'Jurassic Park'? Mind-blowing, right? Well, twenty years on it's back. But seeing it in again, even in 3D, just reminds us how far the technology has advanced. Watching JP now reminds me of seeing that car I lusted after when I was sixteen, but now, two decades later, I see the same car and realize what a jalopy it really was. Now, JP isn't exactly a jalopy, but it does show its age, and without the eye-popping FX distracting me I can see the underlying weaknesses of the story. At the end, it is a strangely Luddite film, not so subtly denouncing the very technologies that made it possible. The acting is one-dimensional (although watching Sam Neill shake as he gets his first glimpse of the dinos remains a treat). And the story is utterly ludicrous: why makes animals that can kill you with one swipe, then give our heroes nothing more than a shotgun? Might as well have been a steak knife.
I give this tired old bird ***.

20 years later and the film remains as solid as ever, truly a masterpiece that shall never be dated. The 3D transfer is excellent and really lends well to the material and setting, dinosaurs have never looked so good!!! With sound better than ever too it was a pure treat to be able to see this one again on the silver screen. The only thing that would have made it even more enjoyable was someone special to share it with and/or perhaps a son or daughter to introduce the magic that is "Jurassic Park", a memory that they'd surely remember forever!!!

The story still holds up even 20 years later.....3 D pretty good except for all the butts in face. Still scary at times even though I knew the story.

This movie is amazing, it makes you remember when setting in the theater just how amazing this movie really was. There is not a lot of noticeable difference in the 3rd but you can only do so much with a movie that was not original made for 3rd but this is just a must go to, damn good movie I love it and give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

I was pleasantly suprised with the 3D conversion since the original movie wasn't filmed in 3D.
Obviously it won't compare to Avatar but it wasn't like a lot of the converted films where the 3D only goes back into the screen. There were several places where things came into the theater and had me wondering how they did it. If you're a fan of the orignal movie then it's well worth going to see it again on the big screen.
