When I first thought of Jurassic Park being redone for 3D.. I had low expectations.
It was amazing. Not only because of the memories from my childhood it brought back.. but the 3D work was amazing. It made the experience so much better.
If you have the chance to go see this, don't pass on it. You'll leave impressed.

It amazes me that this movie is still SO good! The dinosaurs don't look campy or dated, they're still scary and realistic! The 3D makes the dinos look even better! The part where the Jeep falls down the tree after Alan and the little boy was SO COOL in 3D! Definitely go if you love Jurassic Park!

VERY GOOD AS ALWASY, THE 3D EFFECTS WERENT AS AWESOME AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN HAD THE MOVIE BEEN ORINIALLY SHOT IN 3D BUT STILL AWESOME. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY AND TO THOSE THAT UNFORYUANTELY NEVER SAW THIS PRIOR TO NOW IT WILL BE REALLY GREAT TO THEM AND TO THOSE THAT ARE SKEPTICAL ND COMPLAIN THAT IT WILL BE STUPID WELL THEY ARE TALKING OF THEMSELVES

I took my kids to see Jurassic Park 3D. I wanted them to see it on the big screen since it came out about a decade before they were born. I remember seeing It and feeling the roar of the T-Rex in my chest. I came away a little disappointed. It's still a great movie but I didn't think the 3D added much. I would have rather seen the regular Verizon and not the 3D. Again, still great on the big screen but the 3D was a bit lacking.

To be fair, 3D brings nothing new or better to this "oldie." That being said, what makes this worth the price of a ticket is the EXPERIENCE of seeing it on the big screen, the way it was intended to be seen. There's A BIG difference here and even though it's on that all-too-prolific pay TV cable provider near you right this very moment, you won't see it like this. This re-release (skip the IMAX and/or 3D version if you can) is fully restored. It's bright and beautifully mastered, PLUS (and here's the real improvement) the sound's been re-mastered. That's right! No more hearing everything from the front center channel, with simulated stereo left and right at best. NOPE, this new release has big, bold and incredibly engaging sound. If you saw the original on the big screen years ago, you haven't seen it like this. I encourage fans to check this out and not because of the over-hyped 3D which actually washes out color and dims the picture. See it in 2D because it's a great movie!
