I was so excited to hear this movie was in 3D, I was already envisioning the scene with Glenn (newman) and the spitter, sadly it did not hold up to what I envisioned. I believe Jurassic Park 2 in 3D, would be much better. I wasn't completely upset, but I didn't walk away feeling any different than I did when I saw it many yrs ago. We went on a Sunday afternoon, so if you have nothing better to do, why not go see it. Just don;t expect to be darting out of the way for anything.

This event had been building up for several months now, my friends and I exclaiming, "Jurassic Park in 3D Imax, let's GO!" Inevitably Saturday rolled around and we were not disappointed or let down in the slightest.
Here's how I'll break it down:
If you absolutely adore/love this classic movie, you must go and see it, even if you just simply enjoy Jurassic Park, or dinosaurs or a fun time at the movies, Jurassic Park's anniversary re-release will give you all of these things AND in 3D!
The dinosaurs and the park never looked better as did the extreme-close-ups on Sam Jackson's mouth with the cigarette eternally dangling from it. I heard sounds within the dinosaurs roars that I had never heard before because the sound was so ear-drum blastingly-good.
On top of it all, this re-release is a celebration. A celebration of how much fun one can have at the movies, a celebration of a great director's vision and a celebration of Jurassic Park.

Very nice upgrade with well done conversion to 3D makes this classic even more exciting. Who know how well the cinematography already laid the groundwork for excellent 3D effects that feel very natural but add to the impact.

It was awesome, enough said. To expand yes it was the exact same movie as the original but that was expected. The 3d was stunning and this can not be contradicted in any way. 90% of the movie was 3d overlay and that outstanding compared to other movie you go see. So if you haven't saw it yet I highly recommend it.

The music. The great effects. Jeff Goldblum's one-liners. Still one of the most purely entertaining films ever made. Highly recommend seeing while it is still out...we just saw the basic 3D version but would have loved to see the IMAX.
I thought the 3D conversion was great as well. Yes, it intensified some of the dino-attacks of course, but I was more impressed by the additional scenery depth I had never noticed before. Overall - totally worth the money/time!
