A Stormgroup production, the British kids series Juniper Jungle was an animated effort featuring cute 'n' funny animals. The property originated as a children's-book series by ubiqutious Lanchashire comedian Bobby Ball, who also wrote the music. In keeping with Ball's devout Christian philosophy, every plotline had a moral, presented in an entertaining rather than a didactic fashion. Each episode ran 10 minutes--or walked 10 minutes, if one was bored by cuddly cartoon animals. Juniper Jungle made its BBC television debut in 1992. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
